ALEX EDWARDS
GAMEPLAY DESIGNER & PROGRAMMER
About Me
Hello there, I am a game designer from North-West Tasmania.

I recently graduated from AIE with an Advanced Diploma of Game Design, and I am excited to begin my career as a game developer soon.

I grew up playing video games on the Nintendo 64, Xbox, & Xbox 360, and it has been my lifelong dream to make games.

Some of my favorite games of all-time are: Witcher 3, Oblivion & Skyrim, RDR2, KOTOR II, Fallout: New Vegas, Mass Effect 2, Elden Ring, BotW, Telltale: The Walking Dead, A Plague Tale, The Last of Us, Uncharted 4, God of War 2018, Batman Arkham, Shadow of Mordor, Assassin's Creed II, Ori, BioShock, Dishonored, Portal 2, Halo 3, CoD 4, and Titanfall 2.

These games resonate strongly with me, and it inspires me to want to create games for others to enjoy. It's incredibly fulfilling to see someone enjoy a game you've worked on, which was one of the highlights of studying game design.

I have enjoyed programming since studying Computer Science in Year 12. We learned Java in that class, and I used it to make a simple 2D fantasy platformer for my project. The teacher said that it was one of the best projects a student had ever made in his class.

I am passionate about making games in Unity and creating C# scripts. One of my favorite things about it, is that with each project, I level up and learn many new things that are useful in future projects.

I am interested in finding local or remote work as a game designer or programmer.
I'm also open to software development roles outside of game development, especially if they involve UX design or programming.
