ALEX EDWARDS
TECHNICAL / GAMEPLAY DESIGNER & PROGRAMMER
About Me
Hello there, my name is Alex Edwards and I'm a Game Design student from Burnie in North-West Tasmania.

I have almost finished studying an Advanced Diploma of Game Design & Production at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment's online campus.

I hope to start my career in the industry in 2024.
I am interested in finding local or remote work.

I am very passionate about making games. I grew up playing video games on the Nintendo 64, Xbox, & Xbox 360, and it has been my lifelong dream to become a game developer.
I have enjoyed programming since studying Computer Science in Year 12. We learned Java in that class, and I used it to make a 2D game for my project.

C# is my favorite programming language, which is good because I am primarily a Unity developer. I have also started learning Unreal Engine and enjoy using its Blueprint Visual Scripting system.

I considered studying Game Programming at AIE, but I ended up choosing Game Design & Production, because I wanted to learn how to design games. I think it has worked out well, because I have made some incredible friends and I've discovered that I would like to become a technical designer or gameplay designer.
